sracha is a fast, parallel Sequence Read Archive (SRA) downloader and FASTQ converter written in Rust. It retrieves sequencing data from NCBI SRA run, study, or BioProject accessions, converts SRA records to FASTQ, and compresses output using multithreaded gzip. It supports batch processing, paired-end read splitting, resumable downloads, metadata extraction, and integrity verification. It provides a high-performance alternative to fasterq-dump for retrieving sequencing data.
