NGMASTER is a command-line tool for in silico Multi-Antigen Sequence Typing (NG-MAST) of Neisseria gonorrhoeae using assembled whole-genome sequencing (WGS) data. While WGS offers high-resolution analysis for bacterial pathogen comparison, its routine application in public health microbiology remains limited for some organisms, including N. gonorrhoeae. NGMASTER enables rapid and accurate NG-MAST typing, supporting epidemiological surveillance and facilitating comparisons with previously published studies. Validated on 630 assembled genomes, it provides an effective bridge between WGS data and traditional molecular typing methods.
